Introducing

Born in South Dakota, Dr. Miller relocated to California to attend Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Los Angeles.  Prior to joining as a partner at Steck Medical Group in 1967 — at that time it was known as Doctor’s Medical Group– Dr. Miller completed his internships with the Washington Sanitarium and Hospital in Washington DC, DC Children’s Hospital and DC General.  He completed a Residency at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton. During the Vietnam war Dr. Miller enlisted in the United States Public Health Service and was sent to serve in Alaska. He was charged with the healthcare for Alaska’s interior from the Canadian border to the Bering Sea, piloting himself and his team to care for 26 native villages.  He left the military as a navy Lieutenant Commander.

Dr. Miller has been married for over 60 years; he and his wife Sharon have 6 daughters.  In his spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys gardening, photography, weather related conversations, travel, and spending time in his tree fields.  Dr. Miller continues to carry on the legacy of Steck Medical Group, and is well known in the community for his quiet gentle demeanor.  His favorite saying is “Keep Looking Up!”
