Born at Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri and raised in both Alaska and Washington, Brandon completed the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPIP) in 2008 while serving on active duty in the US Army. He completed his residency at Ft Hood, Texas and was then stationed at Madigan Army Medical Center.
CPT Barker retired from the Army in Nov 2016 and has been working in the Woodland Urgent Care Center since 2020.
Brandon and his wife have 3 adult kids. Their oldest son, who recently earned a degree in cyber security, lives in Tampa, Florida. Their daughter, a senior in college, is a division-1 swimmer and plans to join the US Navy. Their youngest son has recently followed in his dad’s footsteps and enlisted in the US Army. His wife is a homemaker and a beauty salon manager in Tumwater.
In their spare time, Brandon enjoys basketball and cornhole and his wife is taking advantage of the hiking and paddle boarding the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
