Dr. Gerald Lee graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Biological Sciences in 1984. He was later awarded a PhD in Microbiology & Immunology from Rosalind Franklin University in 1999, followed by an MD from the same institution in 2001. After earning his MD he began a Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington in 2004.

Dr. Lee spent the first several years after his residency teaching residents, medical students, and paramedic students as a faculty member of the emergency room at the Harborview Medical Center. Later, he spent several years in private practice in Seattle, worked for the Choctaw Nation in Eastern Oklahoma, and with the VA in Big Spring, Texas.

Dr. Lee enjoys working as a primary care physician because it gives him an opportunity to prevent the type of grave illnesses or serious injuries he regularly dealt with while working as an ER doctor.
